Easy Rice Krispy Treat Recipe
Holidays can be stressful especially when you have to bring something to the dinner table. With Easter right around the corner, I decided to put together one of my favorite 10-minute treats! It adds a little pop of color to your dessert table and it only takes three simple ingredients.
box of Fruity pebbles cereal
one stick of butter
10 oz. bag of large marshmallows
Start by setting your burner on low heat and placing the butter inside your pan. Once your butter is completely melted, add all of your marshmallows and stir until completely liquid.
Here’s a quick tip
Your marshmallows may seem like they aren’t melting at first but just take your time. You need to make sure you continue stirring the consistently while the marshmallows are melting. Everything needs to be completely mixed before you add your cereal.
Pour all of your cereal into the pan and stir throughly. Make sure you cover all of the cereal with your marshmallow mixture to assure that your treats are even all the way around.
I like to use a 9x13 pan but you can use whatever you have! Make sure you spray every inch of the pan cause it can get pretty sticky. Scoop your treats into the pan while they’re still hot. It is imperative to do this right away. Otherwise, you won’t be able to spread them evenly throughout the pan.
Let your krispies cool for 20 minutes and then cut them into squares! That’s all there is to it! This is a perfect dessert to bring to family functions because it’s easy, tasty and adorable! If you decide to make your own, send me pictures so I can see your masterpiece!
