La Vida Mas Bella
I once wished I were invisible, which is ironic considering I have always lived a very public life. Coming from a large family that has influenced different facets of Fort Worth, I find it hard sometimes going somewhere in my hometown without running into someone I know. Also, since beginning to publish my music, I have found more people know me than I know them! Opening the door to allow in an even broader audience is quite the opposite of what I expected to do.
With this in mind, I have been hesitant to start a blog. It’s petrifying putting yourself and your life story out there for everyone to see. Everyone will see your scars, your baggage, your skeletons in the closet. All of the above and more. It’s only human nature to shy away from sharing stories of pain, error, and even failures, but I believe that all of these have a purpose. Every scar has a story. Like anyone, I’ve had to face my own multitude of trials. Life is a journey, a wild one, while trying to figure out who you are and who you want to be. There is the constant struggle between who you are at your core and who the world perceives you to be. I hope to wear not just my heart but also my soul on my sleeve.
Even though many say, “Let the past be the past,” I feel your past can shape your future. You just have to mold it in the right way. Memories I never thought I would work through I am now ready to share. I thought maybe, just maybe, there is someone out there going through some of the things that I’ve been through. Maybe that person feels as though it’s the end of the road. But the truth is, it’s not the end - sometimes it’s just the beginning of something greater. This is the purpose of my blog. You see, the biggest thing that I’ve learned is that when you focus on the positive aspects of your life, it leads to a healthier lifestyle and a joyous state of living.
I’m Isabella and this is La Vida Mas Bella.
